Batisse is a Dark Warrior whose entire kit revolves around the Decrease Attack debuff. His passive, Justified Provoke, has a chance at the start of his turn to land Decrease Attack for 2 turns on whichever enemy has the highest Combat Readiness, which sets up everything else. His basic attack Brawl normally hits one target, but against an enemy already weakened by Decrease Attack it triggers Rock Smash, an extra attack that strikes the whole enemy team and carries over the basic skill's effects. His skill Certain Victory is a fast single-target strike that, against a target with Decreased Attack, also adds Decrease Defense for one turn, turning him into a softening tool that punishes anyone already debuffed.

Counters

  • Hard-hitting attackers and dive threats — His passive automatically targets the enemy with the highest Combat Readiness with Decrease Attack, blunting the biggest damage dealer before they get to swing, and it refreshes turn after turn.
  • Teams that get caught grouped up — Once any target carries Decrease Attack, his basic attack chains into Rock Smash, an extra attack that spills onto the entire enemy team, so a single softened foe lets him hit everyone.
  • Squishy targets he can stack debuffs on — Against an enemy already under Decrease Attack, his skill follows up with Decrease Defense, peeling open their guard so his team can finish a weakened opponent.

Countered by

  • Cleansers — His whole engine keys off Decrease Attack; remove that debuff and his extra-attack chain and his Decrease Defense follow-up both simply fail to trigger.
  • Immunity and debuff blockers — If the target cannot be hit with Decrease Attack in the first place, his passive and his conditional payoffs never come online, leaving him with a plain single-target poke.
  • Fast burst before he sets up — He is a slow unit and his payoff needs the Decrease Attack to land first, so an enemy that opens fast and kills before he debuffs sidesteps his entire plan.
  • Patience against his cooldown — His Decrease Defense strike sits on a four-turn cooldown, so once it's spent he has little pressure until it returns and can be played around in the gap.
