Januta is a 3-star Fire Warrior who fights one target at a time, building Fighting Spirit and feeding off an enraged stance. His basic Rabid Strike charges a single enemy and hits harder while he is enraged, and Shatter slows that enemy for 2 turns, stripping their ability to dodge and ignoring Effect Resistance when he is enraged. His passive, Ruler of the Prairie, watches the whole team: each time an ally is attacked he gains Fighting Spirit and can trigger Hour of the Hunt, which speeds up every ally for 2 turns and enrages him for 2 turns, turning incoming damage on his team into team-wide tempo and a self power-up.

Counters

  • Dodge-reliant evasion duelists — Shatter slows the target and cuts its chance to land hits, and while enraged it ignores Effect Resistance, so the slow lands even through high-resistance bruisers and undercuts heroes that lean on evasion and going first.
  • Slower enemy turn orders — Hour of the Hunt speeds up the whole team for 2 turns while Shatter drags one enemy's Speed down for 2 turns, swinging the turn race and letting his side act repeatedly before a slow opponent moves.
  • Aggressive teams that punish his allies — His passive turns every hit his allies take into Fighting Spirit and chances to enrage, so enemy compositions that swing hard into his team only fuel his enraged damage and team Speed buff.

Countered by

  • Buff strippers and buff stealers — The team Speed buff and his own enraged stance can be ripped away or stolen, removing the tempo lead and the enraged bonus damage and Effect Resistance bypass he depends on.
  • Cleansers and effect-resistance support — His one real offensive debuff is the single-target Speed-and-dodge cut; a cleanse on the affected ally wipes it instantly, and immunity granted before his turn blocks it from landing at all.
  • Buff-duration shorteners — Hour of the Hunt's Speed buff and his enraged window each last only 2 turns, so anything that shortens buff duration collapses his tempo and enrage uptime before he can capitalize.
  • Single-target ceiling and reactive setup — Every attack hits only one enemy and his power spike depends on first becoming enraged, which keys off allies being attacked, so against burst teams that ignore his allies or focus him down he never charges up and brings no area pressure.

After any ally is attacked, the caster gains 10 Fighting Spirit per ally attacked, and has a X chance to activate Hour of the Hunt. Hour of the Hunt: Increases Speed of all allies for 2 turns, and the caster becomes enraged for 2 turns.
