Orte is a 3-star Earth Thief built entirely around Speed: a single-target duelist whose every hit grows stronger the faster she is. Her basic attack and her cooldown swordstorm both scale damage with her Speed, and the swordstorm ignores 30% of the target's Defense, rising as high as 70% the more her Speed exceeds the target's. Her passive rewards staying topped up: at the start of a turn while at full Health she gains perception, and once she attacks with perception she immediately repeats that same attack as a free extra hit (against non-boss, non-Elite enemies), available roughly every couple of turns. There are no team buffs, debuffs, or sustain in her kit, so she is a pure self-reliant single-target assassin.

Counters

  • High-Defense bruisers and tanks — Her swordstorm penetrates 30% of the target's Defense, climbing toward 70% whenever she outspeeds them, so stacking Defense does far less to blunt her than it does against normal attackers.
  • Slower targets — Damage on both her offensive skills scales with her Speed, and her Defense penetration grows with her Speed lead, so the slower the enemy, the harder and more piercing her hits land.
  • Squishy single targets she can pick off — While at full Health she gains perception and then repeats her attack as a free extra hit, letting her burst down one fragile, non-boss target with effectively two strikes in a turn.
  • Damage-reduction reliant defenders — Because so much of her output comes from raw Defense penetration and speed-scaled damage rather than a single big multiplier, foes leaning on shaving incoming damage still take heavy, armor-ignoring hits.

Countered by

  • Enemies that out-speed her — Her whole kit is Speed-gated: if a foe is faster, her damage falls off and her Defense penetration stays near its 30% floor instead of climbing toward 70%, while they also act first to punish her.
  • Chip damage and any hit before her turn — Perception and the free extra attack only come online when she starts the turn at max Health, so any poke, lingering damage-over-time, or attack that knocks her off full HP shuts off her bonus attack.
  • Buff removal and buff-duration cuts — Her Perception is a self-buff she relies on to chain the extra attack, but it can not be dispelled or stolen — so deny it by out-speeding or bursting her before she fires; she also has no buffs, debuffs, dispels, or healing of her own to fall back on.
