Arowell's passive makes her a single-target bodyguard: she grants herself Escort at the start of battle and at the end of each of her turns, intercepting single-target hits aimed at allies, and pushes her own Combat Readiness whenever a protected ally is struck. Her third skill hits one target with a chance to stun for a turn while granting increased Defense to the whole team for two turns. She is a Light Knight tank whose offense scales off her own max Health, and her basic attack can strip two buffs off a single enemy. Everything she does is single-target on offense and defense-buffing on support, with no area damage.

Counters

  • Buff-stacking and buff-reliant enemies — Her basic attack can dispel two buffs at once from a single foe, and her kit is built to strip protection, so she peels immunity and offensive buffs off the enemy carry before they can cash in.
  • Single-target assassins and bursters — Her escort passive intercepts single attacks meant for her allies and routes that damage to herself, and being hit pushes her own Combat Readiness for a faster counter-turn, blunting enemies who try to snipe a backline target.
  • Setup turtlers and slow openers — She brings a chance to stun one enemy for a turn alongside a team-wide Defense buff, denying a key opponent its turn while hardening her side, which punishes teams that need an uninterrupted opening rotation.
  • Shield and barrier defenders — Because her damage scales with her own max Health rather than Attack and she can dispel protective buffs, she chips through bulky barrier and defensive-buff users that would shrug off a normal attacker.

Countered by

  • Cleansers and immunity providers — Her main control is a single-turn stun on one target; an ally cleanse or a pre-applied immunity removes or blocks that stun, leaving her with little offensive pressure.
  • Buff-stealers and buff-duration shorteners — She leans on a team-wide Defense buff to keep her side alive; enemies that steal buffs or cut their duration strip that protection and undo her support value.
  • Enemies who strip or out-dispel her side — Her own defensive contribution is the buffs she grants, so a hostile dispeller can wipe the increased Defense she hands out and neutralize the wall she builds.
  • Area-of-effect and wide-damage teams — Her escort only intercepts single attacks and her own offense is strictly one target at a time, so multi-hit or all-enemy attackers bypass her protection and overwhelm a fight she cannot answer at scale.
