Crozet is a 4-star Ice Knight defensive bruiser whose damage scales off his own Defense. His basic attack hits one target and can lower its Attack for a turn, while his ultimate is the real tool: a sword storm that strikes every enemy, pushes back their Combat Readiness, and has a 75% chance to provoke them for a turn. His passive watches over allies, and whenever one drops to 50% Health or below after being attacked it grants that ally a barrier scaled to their max Health plus bonus Defense for two turns. He is a sturdy frontline anchor who locks down the enemy team and shields his most endangered teammate rather than dealing burst damage.

Counters

  • Aggressive teams that rely on the first strike — His ultimate hits the whole enemy team and knocks back their Combat Readiness, delaying their turns and blunting a coordinated alpha strike before it can land.
  • Single damage dealers who need to land their hit — The 75% chance to provoke on his ultimate forces an enemy attacker to throw a basic attack at Crozet instead of its intended target, wasting its turn against his high Defense.
  • Burst attackers trying to snowball a kill — When an ally drops to half Health after taking a hit, his passive instantly grants that ally a max-Health-based barrier and extra Defense for two turns, denying the finishing blow and stabilizing the fight.
  • Heavy hitters he forces to fight him — His basic attack can lower an enemy's Attack for a turn, and as a Defense-scaling Knight he soaks those reduced hits while threatening real damage back.

Countered by

  • Cleansers and damage-reduction strippers — His control is built on the provoke from his ultimate; a teammate that cleanses the provoke or shortens its duration frees the locked enemy to act normally again.
  • Buff removal and theft — His value leans on the barriers and Defense buffs he hands out; enemies that dispel those protective buffs, or steal them outright, erase his shielding and turn his own buffs against him.
  • Effect resistance and immunity — Both his Attack-down and his provoke can simply miss or be blocked, and enemies running immunity walk through his crowd control entirely, leaving him with only modest damage.
  • Ultimate downtime and slow tempo — His team-wide provoke and Combat Readiness push only come on his ultimate, so while it is on cooldown a fast enemy can act freely; and his passive only triggers reactively after an ally is already hurt, never preventing the first hit.
