Holy Flame Adin is a 3-star Fire Thief built around single-target swordplay and self-sustain. Her basic attack strikes one enemy and heals the most-wounded ally, with the heal growing larger the more damage she deals. Her main skill is a single-target multi-hit that has a chance to lower the target's Defense for 2 turns while ignoring their Effect Resistance, and it grants her a personal Willful Flame buff for 2 turns. Her passive is conditional: only after the whole team is hit by an area attack, and only while she is carrying a debuff, she may counter every enemy at once with a fiery sweep that also speeds her up, and this can fire at most once every 2 turns.

Counters

  • Defense-heavy bruisers and walls — Her main skill can lower a single target's Defense for 2 turns and pierces Effect Resistance, so sturdy frontliners that rely on high Defense get cracked open and take far more damage from her and her allies.
  • Enemies leaning on stalls and slow attrition — Every basic attack she lands restores Health to her most-wounded ally and scales that healing with the damage dealt, letting her team out-sustain damage-over-time and grind teams that try to win by outlasting.
  • Teams that open with a big area-of-effect hit — Suffering an attack on all allies while she holds a debuff lets her counter every enemy at once and gain Speed, punishing opponents who try to wipe the whole team with one sweeping blow.
  • Low-Speed opponents she can outpace — Her counter grants her Speed for a turn, helping her cycle her Defense-break and healing faster against slower lineups and stay ahead in the turn order.

Countered by

  • Cleansing and debuff-shortening supports — Her Defense-break is her main pressure tool; an ally that cleanses it off or shortens its duration removes the opening before her team can capitalize, and stripping her own debuff also shuts off her passive counter.
  • Anti-heal effects that block recovery — Her sustain comes entirely from healing the lowest-Health ally on attack; an enemy that applies unhealable prevents that recovery and lets a team push through her durability.
  • Single-target focus fire and burst — Outside her conditional passive she only hits one enemy at a time, so she does not threaten a whole team at once and can be picked off or controlled before her 5-turn Defense-break skill comes back up.
  • Counter-suppression and the passive's strict conditions — Her area counter needs the whole team to be hit, needs her to be holding a debuff, and can only fire once every 2 turns, so single-target attackers and anything that blocks counterattacks simply never trigger it.

PDefensive Spirit

After suffering an attack that targets all allies, when the caster has a debuff, has a X chance to counterattack with Fiery Blade Gust. Fiery Blade Gust takes priority over a counterattack with a basic skill. This effect can only be activated once every 2 turns. Fiery Blade Gust: Attacks all enemies with a blade gust, and increases Speed of the caster for 1 turn.
