Shalltear is a 5-star Fire Warrior single-target bruiser-assassin. Her basic attack summons familiars that inflict Injuries, permanently shaving up to 10% off the target's max Health each time she uses it, with the cut scaling up the harder she hits. Her passive caps the damage she can take from any single blow, gives her an Attack boost whenever she starts a turn at 60% Health or more, and cloaks her in stealth at the end of her turn. Her cooldown skill strips every buff off one enemy and then strikes, ignoring that enemy's Effect Resistance whenever their Attack is lower than hers.

Counters

  • Tanky, high-Health walls and lifesteal sustain units — Her familiars inflict Injuries that permanently reduce the target's max Health by up to 10% each hit, and the cut grows with her damage. Repeatedly carving down a bulky front-liner's effective Health pool erodes the very thing those units rely on to survive.
  • Heavy buff-stackers and self-buffing carries — Her cooldown javelin dispels every buff from one enemy before it lands, wiping out attack boosts, immunity, barriers, or speed buffs that an enemy has piled on and leaving them exposed for the follow-up strike.
  • High-Resistance targets she out-attacks — That same javelin ignores the target's Effect Resistance whenever their Attack is lower than her own, so a defensively-built or low-offense enemy cannot dodge the strip and hit through resistance the way they normally would.
  • Burst assassins relying on one big hit — Her passive caps how much damage she can suffer from any single attack to a portion of her max Health, blunting one-shot nukers, and she ends her turns in stealth so single-target attackers struggle to find her in the first place.

  • Enemies that strip or shorten her own buffs — Her offense leans on the Attack boost she earns at high Health and the stealth she gains each turn. A foe that steals those buffs, dispels them, or cuts their duration removes her cover and her damage spike before she can capitalize.
  • Wide attacks that hit the whole team — Her end-of-turn stealth only protects her from being singled out. Area-of-effect damage that strikes all enemies bypasses stealth entirely, so cleaving teams can reach her regardless.
  • Slow, single-target grind — Her familiar attack hits only one enemy and her buff-strip sits on a four-turn cooldown, so she has no way to pressure a whole team at once and her best disruption is unavailable most turns. A fast spread-damage or wide-control team can act before she chips anyone down.
  • Out-scaling her with raw Attack — Her resistance-ignoring strip only works when the target's Attack is below hers. An enemy built with higher Attack keeps their Effect Resistance intact and can shrug off her buff-removal, dulling her key tool.
