Suthan is a 3-star Dark Mage attacker whose main hook is shutting off enemy healing. His first skill strikes a single enemy with a chance to apply Burn for 2 turns, his passive permanently builds his own Attack and Effectiveness each time he attacks (stacking up to 10 times), and his third skill releases mana to hit the whole enemy team with a chance to make them unhealable for 2 turns. He is a slow hero who ramps up over a fight, leaning on damage-over-time and the unhealable effect rather than burst.

Counters

  • Sustain-reliant teams that lean on healers — His third skill applies unhealable to the whole enemy team, so any opponent counting on a dedicated healer to keep the front line alive suddenly cannot be topped up for 2 turns, letting his Burn and the rest of his team chip them down.
  • Lifesteal and self-healing bruisers — Unhealable blocks recovery from any source, so durable attackers who normally stay alive by draining health back on every hit are left unable to repair the damage they take.
  • Revive and drain-out comp survivors — By denying health recovery across the enemy line, he undercuts strategies that expect to claw health back after taking a hit, and his stacking Attack and Effectiveness mean both his damage and his chance to land Burn and unhealable climb the longer the fight runs.

Countered by

  • Cleansers — His value lives in his debuffs (Burn and unhealable), so a hero that removes negative effects from allies simply wipes the unhealable off and reopens healing, neutralizing his whole game plan.
  • Immunity and effect-resistance setters — His unhealable and Burn are chance-based applications; a team that grants immunity to debuffs beforehand, or stacks high resistance, blocks them outright and leaves him as a weak single-target poke.
  • Fast burst attackers — He is a slow hero whose passive needs several turns of attacking to build up damage and accuracy, so opponents who move first and kill quickly can remove him before he ever ramps.
  • Teams that ignore the unhealable window — The team-wide unhealable sits on a 4-turn cooldown and only lasts 2 turns; opponents who avoid trading or playing defensively during that window, then commit once it expires, sidestep his only real pressure.
