Immortal Wukong is an Earth Warrior built as a durable, self-sufficient bruiser and single-target disruptor. His basic Swing hits one target and shields himself with a barrier that scales off his Attack, but when used on his own turn it instead strikes every enemy. His passive makes him hard to burst down: it boosts his Critical Hit Resistance and Penetration Resistance, and every time he survives a non-critical hit he stacks up to +20% Attack and Speed (three stacks), so he grows faster and stronger the longer a fight drags on. His main play is Heavenly Fighter's Strike (4-turn cooldown), which first buffs his own Attack for 2 turns, then strikes one enemy for a stun, dealing up to 70% more damage the further his Attack exceeds the target's.

Counters

  • Enemies that rely on critical hits to kill him — His passive raises Critical Hit Resistance and Penetration Resistance, and only non-critical hits trigger his rage stacks, so crit-reliant attackers either fail to crit through his resistance or hand him stacking Attack and Speed when their hits land soft.
  • Slow attrition teams and drawn-out fights — He shields himself off his own Attack every Swing and snowballs up to +20% Attack and Speed per surviving non-crit hit (three stacks), so the longer a duel lasts the harder and faster he becomes, out-grinding sustain-based brawlers.
  • A single high-priority threat he can disable — Heavenly Fighter's Strike stuns one enemy for a turn while self-buffing his Attack, and deals up to 70% bonus damage when his Attack outclasses theirs, letting him lock down and punish one key target.
  • Fire enemies expecting an elemental edge — His kit negates elemental disadvantage, so Fire opponents lose the bonus damage and effectiveness they would normally get against an Earth hero.

Countered by

  • Stripping his buffs and barrier — His durability and ramp lean on his self-barrier and stacked Attack/Speed buffs; dispel, buff steal, or shortening his buff durations peels off the barrier and rage stacks and leaves a low-defense Warrior exposed.
  • Immunity and cleanse on the target he wants to stun — His only crowd control is the single-target stun on Heavenly Fighter's Strike with a 4-turn cooldown; immunity blocks it outright and a cleanse wipes it, so a protected target shrugs off his one disruptive tool until it comes back up.
  • Wide cleave that ignores his single-target answers — Outside of his own-turn Swing he acts on one enemy at a time, so fast area-of-effect teams can pressure his whole side at once before his stun cooldown is available or his stacks build.
  • Burst that kills before he ramps — His Attack and Speed stacks only accrue after he survives hits, so opponents who delete him in one big window never let his snowball start and bypass the resistances that protect him from chip damage.
