Riza Hawkeye is an Ice Ranger built to protect one specific ally — the unit standing at the front of her team — and to disrupt a single enemy at a time. Her single-target shots can land a debuff and, once she has her Hawk's Eye stance, push her front ally's turn forward by 20% each time she fires. Her passive shields that front ally from single-hit damage and, when they drop to half health, cleanses both of them and grants her Hawk's Eye. Her big attack strips an enemy's buffs, knocks their turn gauge back by 50% ignoring their resistance, and then hands immunity to herself and her front ally for two turns. She is a fast, focused support-disruptor, not a wide-area cleaver — every offensive skill hits just one target.

Counters

  • Buff-stacking enemies who rely on stayed-up buffs — Her big attack fully strips an enemy's buffs before doing anything else, so foes that lean on attack, defense, immunity, or barrier buffs to function get those gains wiped, and her shots can keep a chosen target debuffed.
  • Fast openers and turn-order bullies — She lands in the fast speed band and her big attack pushes the enemy's turn gauge back by 50% while ignoring their effect resistance, so units that try to act first or chain quick turns get denied that tempo even through resistance.
  • Single-target burst aimed at her protected ally — Her passive reduces single-hit damage taken by the front ally and applies the strongest such reduction, which directly blunts assassins and single-target nukers trying to delete that one unit.
  • Debuff and crowd-control teams targeting her core duo — When the front ally falls to half health she cleanses all debuffs off both that ally and herself, and her big attack then gives both of them immunity for two turns, shrugging off stuns, silences, soft control, and damage-over-time aimed at the pair.

Countered by

  • Enemies who carry their own immunity — Immunity blocks her debuff, her buff-strip, and her turn-gauge knockback, so a foe already shielded from negative effects neutralizes nearly all of her offensive pressure.
  • Buff stealers and buff-strippers — Her protection leans on the immunity she grants herself and her front ally; an enemy that dispels or steals that immunity reopens both of them to debuffs and damage.
  • Cleansers and effect-resistance up front — Her single-target debuff is easily removed by an enemy cleanser, and outside of her big attack she does not ignore resistance, so a debuff that gets resisted or wiped leaves her offense thin.
  • Sustained pressure timed around her cooldowns — Her dispel-and-knockback is on a 5-turn cooldown, her cleanse-and-Hawk's-Eye trigger only fires once every 3 turns, and she protects only the single front ally — flanking damage onto her other units, or burst stacked while those windows are down, slips past her entirely.
