Violet is a fast single-target Earth Thief who duels enemies one at a time rather than hitting the whole team. His basic Graceful Cut can lower the target's Attack and, crucially, builds him up whenever it isn't his turn by pushing his own Combat Readiness 15% and banking double Focus. He spends that stored Focus on Butterfly Cut, a piercing strike whose damage scales with how much Focus he has saved; while that skill is off cooldown he also gains 35% Evasion and counters with Graceful Cut whenever he dodges. His duel skill cleanses two debuffs from himself, grants perception, heals 15% of his Health, and hands him an immediate extra turn, making him slippery and self-sufficient in extended fights.

  • Debuff-stacking and disruptive control teams — His duel skill clears two debuffs off himself, then immediately hands him another turn, so attempts to pile on defense break, poisons and burns, silence, or soft crowd control get wiped and answered before they can lock him down.
  • Single-target attackers who rely on connecting — While Butterfly Cut is off cooldown he gains 35% Evasion, and any dodge triggers a counter with Graceful Cut, so opponents who depend on landing one big hit can whiff and eat a free retaliation that may also lower their Attack.
  • Slow, turn-dependent enemies — Every time it is not his turn he gains 15% Combat Readiness and double Focus, letting him cut in ahead of sluggish opponents and act more often than they do across a fight.
  • Stalling, drawn-out matchups — Self-cleanse, a 15% self-heal, perception, and a Focus engine that grows the longer he waits mean he only gets more dangerous in extended trades; a fully charged Butterfly Cut hits hard precisely because the fight dragged on.

  • Counter-blocking effects — His evasion payoff and his counter-with-Graceful-Cut both depend on retaliating; enemies that prevent counterattacks shut off his dodge punish and reduce him to plain single-target damage.
  • Unhealable — His only sustain is the 15% self-heal on his duel skill; inflicting an unhealable effect strips that recovery and leaves him relying on dodging to survive.
  • Immunity buffs — His Attack-down only has a chance to land, and an immunity buff on the target blocks it outright, leaving Graceful Cut as a plain hit with no pressure.
  • Burst that ignores the dodge window — His defenses lean on a 35% Evasion chance and on having Focus saved up; before he banks Focus, or against attackers who catch him while Butterfly Cut is on its long cooldown and the evasion is gone, he is a fragile Thief with low Defense who can be opened up fast.
