Eternal Wanderer Ludwig is a Dark Mage attacker built around mana-charged single-target hits and one big nuke. His basic attack strikes one enemy and raises his own Attack for a turn, then grants him an extra turn; his second skill strikes one enemy harder, gives himself increased Hit Chance for two turns plus an Endure safety net, and also grants an extra turn. His ultimate is his only multi-target tool: it hits all enemies, ignoring part of their Defense, and that penetration grows stronger (stacking up to twice) plus pushes his own Combat Readiness whenever any unit uses a Soulburn. His self-fueled extra turns and stacking Defense penetration let him chain rotations and chew through tanky targets.

Counters

• Evasion and dodge-reliant defenders — His second skill grants himself increased Hit Chance for two turns, so units that survive by dodging attacks can no longer rely on missing him.
• High-Defense tanks and damage-reduction walls — His ultimate ignores part of every enemy's Defense, and that penetration stacks up to two times when Soulburns fire, letting him punch through bruisers and damage-mitigation setups that wall normal attackers.
• Slower opening lineups — His ultimate self-pushes his own Combat Readiness whenever a Soulburn fires, letting him chain rotations and get ahead of teams that depend on going first.
• Soulburn-heavy enemy teams — Every Soulburn anyone uses fuels his ultimate, raising his Combat Readiness and stacking its penetration, so aggressive Soulburn comps actually feed his damage.

• Buff stealers — His whole engine leans on self-buffs (Attack up, Hit Chance, Endure); an enemy that steals those buffs strips his accuracy and offense and turns them against him.
• Dispellers — Removing his self-applied Attack and Hit Chance buffs drops his damage and re-opens the door for evasion units to dodge him.
• Buff-duration shorteners — His Hit Chance and Attack buffs only last a turn or two; cutting their duration short blunts his accuracy and burst before he can capitalize.
• Burst before he sets up — He has no passive and his strongest tools sit behind four-turn cooldowns, so a fast team that opens with crowd control or a kill can drop him before his ultimate and extra-turn chain ever come online.
