Hellion Lua

Hellion Lua is a very fast Dark Ranger built around aggression control and counterattacks rather than personal damage. Her basic attack hits one enemy with a chance to provoke it for a turn, while her passive reacts whenever an allied hero is attacked: it pushes the whole team's Combat Readiness and grants challenge so those allies retaliate with counterattacks. Her main skill grants challenge to every ally, raises her own Defense for two turns, and has a chance to provoke all enemies for one turn, locking the enemy team into attacking where she wants and feeding the counterattack loop.

• Single-target attackers and assassins that try to pick off a backline carry — Her challenge pulls enemy attacks toward the challenge-holders and her chance to provoke forces enemies to swing at the wrong target, so focused-fire openers waste their burst hitting bait instead of the carry they wanted dead.
• Aggressive openers that rely on landing the first hit — Provoke from her attack and her main skill, plus the team Combat Readiness push when an ally is struck, disrupt the enemy's opening turn and let her allies act or counterattack before the enemy can follow up.

• Cleanse and debuff immunity — Her control hinges on provoke landing; if enemies pre-apply immunity or cleanse the provoke off, they ignore her redirection entirely and attack freely.
• Effect resistance and accuracy checks — Provoke on both her attack and her main skill is only a chance and must beat enemy resistance, so high-resistance targets shrug off the control she depends on.
• Buff strippers and buff-duration cutters — Her counterattack engine leans on the Challenge buff — which is undispellable — plus her self Defense buff; dispel or buff-theft can strip the Defense buff, but the surest shutdown is to simply avoid hitting her so the counters never trigger.
• Skills that ignore counterattacks — Her core value is the counterattack loop, so enemies whose attacks cannot trigger counters bypass that retaliation and leave her dealing little damage on her own.
