Commander Pavel

Commander Pavel is a Light Ranger attacker who fights between single-target gunfire and one big team-wide blast. His basic gunblade hits one enemy with a chance to lower their Attack, and his pistol skill (a 5-turn cooldown) pierces up to 70% of a target's Defense whenever his own Attack is higher than theirs. The heart of his kit is a passive that banks Fighting Spirit (60 at the start of battle, plus 20 each time an ally lands a critical hit); when it fills, "Begone!" fires automatically, boosting his own Attack, striking every enemy, and then refilling his own turn meter for an immediate follow-up. His attacks also bypass damage-sharing tanks and can finish weakened enemies in a way that stops them being revived.

• Defense-stacking bruisers and walls — His pistol shot ignores up to 70% of a target's Defense whenever his Attack is the higher of the two, so the tankier the enemy, the more of their armor he simply skips.
• Crit-heavy aggressive teams (as a partner) — Every ally critical hit feeds him 20 Fighting Spirit, so the harder his team hits, the sooner Begone! erupts into a team-wide blast that also pushes his own turn and buffs his Attack.

• Buff removal and theft — His Begone! payoff and his pistol's penetration both lean on his own raised Attack; an enemy that dispels or steals that Attack buff strips away the edge he needs to punch through Defense.
• Cleanse on the target — His only reliable control is the Attack-down chance on his basic; a cleanse wipes it instantly, removing the small disruption he brings.
• Immunity going into the fight — Immunity blocks his Attack-down before it can stick, and shutting off that debuff leaves him as a pure hitter with no setup.
• Slow, conditional ramp — His signature blast only fires once Fighting Spirit is full and his pistol shot sits on a 5-turn cooldown, so fast burst teams can delete him or his allies before he ever reaches the Begone! payoff.
