Twisted Eidolon Kayron is a 5-star Light Thief built to be a self-sustaining counterattacker. His basic Sundering Slash hits one enemy, inflicts injuries that cut their max Health, and shields himself, but when it fires as a counterattack it instead strikes every enemy. His passive keeps counterattack up turn after turn, builds Fighting Spirit, and when that resource fills it cleanses all his debuffs and pushes his own Combat Readiness; his ultimate, Sword of Requiem, spends that Fighting Spirit to hit the whole enemy team with bonus fixed true damage, while granting him 30% damage reduction whenever the skill is off cooldown.

Counters

  • Heavy debuff and damage-over-time teams — His passive automatically dispels every debuff on him the moment his Fighting Spirit fills, so stacked poisons, bleeds, and other lingering debuffs slide off before they can grind him down.
  • Single-target burst attackers who rely on hitting him — He opens battle with counterattack and refreshes it every turn, and his counter version of Sundering Slash retaliates against the whole enemy team, so anyone who swings at him eats a strike back.
  • High-Health walls and bruisers — His sword inflicts injuries that permanently shrink the target's max Health, and his counter hits scale off that Health, so beefy front-liners are worn down rather than out-tanked.
  • Shield-stacking and survival comps — Sword of Requiem hits all enemies with a flat chunk of fixed damage that lands regardless of whether the attack connects, then adds more true damage based on stored Fighting Spirit, punching through barriers and damage-reduction that would blunt a normal hit.

  • Effects that block or ignore counterattacks — Most of his retaliation pressure and his AoE conversion depend on being allowed to counter; enemies who prevent counterattacks shut off his main source of return damage and reduce him to slow single-target hits.
  • Buff dispel and strip — His self barrier, counterattack buff, and the damage reduction he leans on can be removed, leaving him exposed right when he expects to be tanky.
  • Burst that ignores his defenses on the turn his ultimate is on cooldown — His 30% damage reduction only exists while Sword of Requiem is ready; after he uses it on its 5-turn cooldown that mitigation drops, opening a window to delete him.
  • Denying him Fighting Spirit and turns — His cleanse, Combat Readiness push, and ultimate's bonus damage all hinge on filling Fighting Spirit, which he gains slowly at the end of enemy turns, so racing him with speed or locking him out of acting keeps his payoff offline.
