New Kid Adin is a fast 4-star Dark Thief built around dodging and chipping down a single target's max Health. Her bamboo-sword strikes (basic and her 4-turn cooldown finisher) inflict Injuries that permanently shave a slice off the target's maximum Health each time, and once she's running on vigor those same hits tack on bonus damage scaling with the injuries she's already stacked. Her passive raises her Evasion: a successful dodge grants her vigor and a counterattack (once per turn), and while she has vigor she pushes her own Combat Readiness 20 percent at the end of every turn, letting her cycle turns quickly. She rewards a self-feeding loop of dodge, vigor, and repeated single-target injuries rather than burst or wide cleave.

Counters

  • Tanky, high-Health bruisers and brawlers — Her Injuries cut a chunk off the target's maximum Health every time she hits, so the bigger the health pool the more she erodes; over a fight she shrinks even very durable front-liners into something she can finish.
  • Teams leaning on healing to stay alive — Because Injuries lower the cap on a target's max Health rather than acting as a removable debuff, healers can only top up to a shrinking ceiling, blunting the value of a heal-and-sustain comp against her.
  • Predictable single-target attackers and melee threats — Her raised Evasion plus the dodge-triggered counter and vigor gain punish enemies that keep swinging at her, and the Combat Readiness she banks from vigor lets her take extra turns to keep stacking injuries on whatever she's chosen to grind down.
  • Slower setup or opener-style units — At 119 speed with self CR pushes while vigor is active, she tends to move first and start cutting an enemy's Health before slower openers can establish their own tempo.

Countered by

  • Effects that block or ignore counterattacks — Her dodge-into-counter loop is a core source of pressure and vigor; enemies that suppress counterattacking shut down a big part of her retaliation engine.
  • Buff stripping, stealing, or shortening — Her Evasion can be dispelled, stolen, or shortened to strip her safety. Vigor itself cannot be removed, but she only refreshes it by dodging, so accuracy buffs or guaranteed hits that stop her evading also choke off the Vigor that powers her bonus damage.
  • Reliable burst and accuracy that ignores evasion — Her defense is dodge-based and probabilistic, not guaranteed; attackers who hit hard and consistently can kill her before her evasion-and-counter cycle ever pays off, since she has no real built-in damage mitigation.
  • Slow grind against frail single targets — She is fundamentally single-target with a 4-turn cooldown on her big hit and no true area attack, so against a spread-out team or anything she can't pin and repeatedly injure, her per-target erosion is too slow to swing a fight.
