Aube

Aube is a 5-star Ice Ranger who wins by taking away the enemy's turns. Her basic attack, Coral Swell, pushes the target's Combat Readiness back. Film Fiesta can give her whole team Cascade, an undispellable buff that deals 4,000 fixed damage to each target after an attack, and also grants her a skill nullifier and an extra turn. Her signature skill, Eternal Moment, dispels two buffs from every enemy, then has a chance on each of them to inflict Immobilize and Restrict for 2 turns once awakened. Immobilize blocks Combat Readiness gained from Speed and Restrict blocks every other source, so together they freeze the enemy's turn order. Her undispellable Concealment means enemies cannot pick her with skills while another ally is alive.

Counters

• Combat Readiness push teams — Restrict stops every Combat Readiness gain that does not come from Speed, so team pushes and battery heroes produce nothing for two turns, and Immobilize removes the Speed-based gain as well. Teams built on pushing their carry into extra turns stall completely.
• Single-target assassins — Concealment is undispellable and keeps her off the target list while any ally stands, so an assassin has to go through the rest of her team before it can reach her.
• Buff-dependent openers — Eternal Moment strips two buffs from every enemy before its debuffs roll, so an opening immunity or attack buff usually comes off before it can matter.

Countered by

• Immortality and damage-sharing tanks — Lady of the Scales is her worst common matchup, at about 42% over 11,000 games. Team-wide immortality and damage sharing soak the Cascade burst and simply outlast the two-turn lock.
• Protection from Combat Readiness reduction — Passives that block Combat Readiness reduction, like Ivana's, blank her basic attack and remove half of her tempo pressure.
• Area crowd control — Concealment only stops her being targeted. She has no cleanse or immunity of her own, so an AoE stun or fear lands on her like on anyone else.
