Elvira is a fast Ice Thief built around staying Immortal. Her main skill is a single-target strike that can provoke the target for a turn, with a 25% better chance while she is immortal. Her signature Skill 3 attacks one enemy, strips every buff off them, drops their Defense for two turns, penetrates Defense, deals more damage to enemy heroes based on their current Health, and grants Elvira Immortality for three turns; it also ignores cooldown manipulation. While she is immortal, her passive turns her basic attacks into Exterminate, an area-of-effect extra attack (once every two turns) that dispels a buff and inflicts a charm-style trap on all enemies. The same passive raises her Effect Resistance, prevents the enemy team from gaining Fighting Spirit, and bars her own crits.

Counters

  • Buff-stacking and shield-reliant teams — Her Skill 3 strips every buff off the target before it hits, and while she is immortal her passive Exterminate also dispels a buff from all enemies, so it peels away barriers, damage reduction, attack buffs and similar stacks that an enemy relies on to function.
  • Defensive bruisers and high-HP frontliners — Skill 3 penetrates Defense, applies a two-turn Defense Down, and deals more damage to enemy heroes the higher their current Health is, so tanky, full-health targets take heavily amplified damage rather than shrugging her off.
  • Sustain and heal-dependent compositions — Her passive cuts the enemy's Fighting Spirit gain by 100%, and her Skill 3 plus reactive Exterminate keep dispelling enemy buffs, denying meter-hungry and buff-reliant teams the resources they need to act.
  • Soul Weavers and supports she wants to lock down — Her single-target opener can provoke the target for a turn, and that provoke chance rises by 25% while she is immortal, letting her stick a key enemy in place and disrupt their turn.

Countered by

  • Cleansers and Effect Resistance / immunity setters — Her pressure rides on debuffs (provoke, Defense Down, the charm-trap, unhealable). An ally cleanse, high Effect Resistance, or an immunity buff applied before she lands these strips the value out of her kit.
  • Enemy dispellers — Her own engine depends on staying Immortal from Skill 3. A dispel that removes her Immortality both exposes her to death and shuts down her passive Exterminate, since the AoE extra attack and the boosted provoke chance only trigger while she is immortal.
  • Burst before Skill 3 comes online — Skill 3 carries her self-Immortality and is on a five-turn cooldown, so outside that window she is a frail Thief. A team that can open faster or burst her down before she earns Immortality avoids the worst of her.
  • Heroes that ignore buff control — Her main job is buff stripping and disruption rather than raw single-target killing, and she cannot crit, so opponents who do not depend on buffs and can simply out-damage or out-survive her largely sidestep her threat.
