Archdemon's Shadow is a 5-star Dark Mage built around sealing a key target and then snowballing turns. Touch of Chaos is a single-target lightning strike that ignores Effect Resistance and has a chance to seal the enemy for 2 turns; with the target sealed, his passive Twisted Power boosts his own Attack and unleashes a Burst that hits all enemies, pushes his own Combat Readiness by 25%, and gains Focus. His third skill, Dissolution, hits the whole enemy team with a chance to apply Defense Down and two Burn effects, then grants him an extra turn. His passive also reduces the damage he takes from critical hits, giving him a measure of durability while he chains his own actions.

  • Cleansers and immunity supports — His whole plan hinges on the seal landing and the Defense Down and Burns sticking; a cleanse wipes those off and an immunity buff stops the seal entirely, which also denies the attack buff and Burst his passive only triggers when the target is sealed.
  • Dispel and buff-steal — He buffs his own Attack and runs on damage reduction; stripping or stealing those buffs softens his Burst and removes the crit-damage cushion that keeps a fragile Mage alive.
  • Effects that shorten his debuff durations — His seal, Defense Down, and Burns all run on timers; cutting their duration short means the seal may expire before his passive can capitalize and the Burns deal far less over their shortened life.
  • Fast, hard-hitting openers — He's a squishy Mage who needs to seal first to come online; a faster enemy that bursts him before he acts, or simply avoids being the sealed target, denies his whole turn-chaining engine.
